Saeed Tavakolian

He was born in Shirvan, in 1952. After graduation in design, audio and visual communications he returned to Iran. In 1982 he established animation department in IRIB faculty. He also obtained his MA in the subject of animation and after graduation continued to teach in animation. He is a member of international society of animation studies and has active participation in national and international film festivals. Tavakolian was the jury member of Zagreb 2008 animation film festival. He is a member of Asifa and was the chairman of the board of directors of Asifa Iran between 2005-2007. He has been an executive producer of sixty five parts program in animation for channel 4. He is also the author of a number of articles on animations. "Awakening of dreams" ,"Hundred years of animation", and "Memorable single frames" are amongst the booms he has written or translated.
